Not everything created in the studio makes it onto a gallery wall.
Every painting starts somewhere. Drawings, studies, experiments, mistakes, layers and ideas all become part of the process before a finished piece ever leaves the studio.
MADVILLX was created to give those parts of the process a place to live.
The name comes from the process itself. Making art can be mad. It’s chaotic, unpredictable and sometimes frustrating, but there’s something beautiful about that chaos. There are wrong turns, experiments, failed ideas and moments where nothing makes sense until suddenly it does. All of it plays a part in getting the final piece where it needs to be.
Here you’ll find original drawings, smaller works, screen prints, clothing and objects pulled from my studio and the world surrounding my work. Some are pieces of the process. Others are simply things I wanted to make.
I’ve never wanted to sell my larger paintings by clicking “add to cart.” Fine art has always felt more personal to me. A conversation between the artist, gallery and collector.
MADVILLX is everything around that.
It’s a way to collect something from my world at a more accessible level and own a piece of the process that would normally never leave the studio.
The gallery gets the finished painting. MADVILLX gets the madness that made it.
